  • In collaboration with Deschutes County, OEHA has started a REHS Trainee Study Group to support REHS Trainees as they study to pass their REHS exam. The Study Group meets weekly on Zoom for one hour, is based on a study guide with five recommended texts, and features exam review questions and guest speakers who are subject matter experts in specific topics. The group will meet January-June and will repeat again July-December. Trainees are welcome to join mid-way through the session. If you have a REHS Trainee in your department, please send them our way to register! Contact | OEHA (

  • OEHA Regional Representatives Chris Chiola (NW Regional Rep) and Jeff Freund (Eastern Regional Rep) are supporting the Trainees in the Study Group by setting up tours of water treatment facilities and drinking water labs for Trainees to visit as they are able. What facility tours did you take while you were a Trainee that helped you understand key EH concepts? Support our Trainees by setting up a tour in your region and email us to add it to their list of opportunities. Contact | OEHA (

Who said it?

"It can be said that there are four basic and primary things that the mass of people in a society wish for: to live in a safe environment, to be able to work and provide for themselves, to have access to good public health and to have sound educational opportunities for their children."
