Below is a selection of trainings and conferences that may be of interest to Environmental Health Specialists. In 2021, many of these trainings are available in virtual formats. Offerings are listed below in chronological order, and will remain posted after the event so that you can explore the organization's website for other resources. New opportunities will be added as we learn of them.​

  • North Carolina State University FoodCoVNET is offering a webinar on Air flow/ventilation and close contact in the food sector on March 4, 2021 at 9am Pacific (12noon Eastern). Food sector community members are invited to engage with public health and air flow experts to discuss challenges and strategies to mitigate air flow risks and close contact transmission in food settings.   • In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Legionella Conference organizers NSF and the National Environmental Health Association have added a virtual special session, which will take place March 9 – 10, 2021. Learn more about this Legionella Conference Virtual Special Session.

  • The Oregon Environmental Health Association Annual Meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 1-3pm.

  • The Washington State Environmental Health Association is seeking proposals for their 2021 AEC.  Sessions will be ~50 minutes long and include a Q&A session.  To submit a proposal, please use this link by March 22nd.

  • The Rural Community Assistance Corporation is offering a free three part webinar entitled: "Achieve and Maintain Compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act in Oregon" on April 13-15, 2021, 9:30am-12noon Pacific Time. 0.2 Oregon Drinking Water CEUs are being offered per two-hour module, for a total of 0.6 CEUs.   • The first ever virtual Integrated Foodborne Outbreak Response and Management (InFORM) Regional Meeting will take place April 26–30, 2021 from 10am-2pm PST (1-5pm ET) each day.  The CDC, APHL and NEHA are hosting the meeting with the goal of inviting attendees that participate in outbreak investigations from environmental health, epidemiology and public health laboratories.  Registration is now open and free.  To begin the registration process, please visit the InFORM 2021 Regional Meeting Registration page.

  • NSF Health Sciences, an NSF International company, and the National Environmental Health Association will bring together professionals from a wide variety of industries, including health care, to discuss the growing concern of Legionella outbreaks at the third annual Legionella Conference.
