Training Opportunities

Below is a selection of trainings and conferences that may be of interest to Environmental Health Specialists. Many of these trainings are available in virtual formats. Offerings are listed below in chronological order, and will remain posted after the event so that you can explore the organization's website for other resources. New opportunities will be added as we learn of them.​

  • What: Oregon Society of Soil Scientists 2022 Winter Meeting

       When: February 24-26, 2021 (Thursday-Saturday)

       Where: Worthy Brewing 495 NE Bellevue Drive Bend, OR 97701


  • The Washington State Environmental Health Association is seeking proposals for their 2021 AEC.  Sessions will be ~50 minutes long and include a Q&A session.  To submit a proposal, please use this link by March 22nd.


  • What: The Annual Oregon Onsite Wastewater Association (O2WA) Virtual Conference

       When: April 1-2, 2022


       CEUs: 1.2 CEUs are available for both days, or 0.6 CEUs for 1 day

  • The Rural Community Assistance Corporation is offering a free three part webinar entitled: "Achieve and Maintain Compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act in Oregon" on April 13-15, 2021, 9:30am-12noon Pacific Time. 0.2 Oregon Drinking Water CEUs are being offered per two-hour module, for a total of 0.6 CEUs.        When: Weeks of May 10, 17, and 24), with 2-3 half day topic specific sessions per week. (Registration allows               you to attend as many sessions as you are able.)  


  • What: The Private Well Conference - Virtual Conference to Return in 2022

       When: Dates are TBD for the 2022 event, but we anticipate it will be late May




  • North Carolina State Virtual Retail HACCP Course on June 17, 2021 (regulator focus)

  • NSF Health Sciences, an NSF International company, and the National Environmental Health Association will bring together professionals from a wide variety of industries, including health care, to discuss the growing concern of Legionella outbreaks at the third annual Legionella Conference.
